Speed Test Tips — UltraIPTVOnline

Speed Test Tips

Follow these tips to measure and improve your internet connection for stable IPTV streaming without buffering or interruptions.

Recommended minimum: 15–25 Mbps per stream, Ping < 40ms, Jitter < 15ms, Packet Loss 0%.

1) How to run a proper speed test

  • Test on Ethernet first (wired connection), then on Wi-Fi 5 GHz if possible.
  • Close all downloads or streaming apps during the test.
  • Run 2–3 tests at different times of day (morning, evening) and take the average.
  • Check not only download speed but also Ping, Jitter, and Packet Loss.

2) Understanding your results

MetricGoodNeeds improvement
Download≥ 25 Mbps per stream< 15 Mbps
Upload≥ 5 Mbps< 2 Mbps
Ping< 40 ms> 60 ms
Jitter< 15 ms> 25 ms
Packet Loss0%> 0%

3) Improve your connection

  • Use 5 GHz Wi-Fi instead of 2.4 GHz (stay close to the router).
  • Best option: wired Ethernet or Powerline adapter if a cable is not possible.
  • Restart your router/modem regularly (power off for 30s, then back on).
  • Update your router firmware and change Wi-Fi channels to reduce interference.
  • Enable QoS (Quality of Service) to prioritize IPTV traffic.

4) Extra tips

  • Switch video player in your IPTV app (VLC, ExoPlayer, MX Player) and see which is more stable.
  • Adjust buffer size in the app: increase if frequent freezing, reduce if long delays.
  • Test with HD or Full-HD instead of 4K if your bandwidth is limited.
  • Change DNS settings to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) or Google (8.8.8.8) for faster resolution.

5) What to send us if issues persist

  • Screenshot of your speed test (Download, Upload, Ping, Jitter, Loss).
  • Device and app used (example: TiviMate on Android TV Box).
  • Time of issue, affected channels, and troubleshooting steps you tried.
